NEW DELHI: Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Dr Nirmal Kumar Singh on Wednesday called on Prime Minister, Narendra Modi at New Delhi and discussed various issues.
Dr Singh informed the Prime Minister about the status of progress made on the ambitious e-Assembly project in J&K that has been envisaged for end to end computerisation and digitisation of the assembly processes thus making an end to paper work.
Briefing on Amarnath Yatra, Dr Singh said that adequate safety and other arrangements were put in place for the pilgrims of the Holy Shrine to ensure smooth pilgrimage and necessary measures are initiated to accommodate the heavy rush of Yatris. He also briefed the Prime Minister about the security scenario of the J&K State.
During the meeting, various development activities taken up in the State were also discussed.
