JAMMU: Nehru House won the inter-house under-17 boys cricket tournament beating Tagore House by 52 runs in the final played at BSF School Ground, here on Friday. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Nehru House made 90 runs for the loss of six wickets in allotted 15 overs. Anuj remained highest scorer with 37 runs. In reply, Tagore House was bowled out for 38 runs in eight overs, courtesy four wickets haul from Anuj.
For his all round performance of 37 runs and four wickets, Anuj was declared Man of the Match. In all four houses took part in this event including Gandhi and Raman House.
Principal of the School, Dr S.K Shukla interacted with the finalist teams and appreciated the performance of the winning Nehru House. He lauded the efforts of incharge teachers of games and sports, Veerjit Pandit and Amarjeet Singh.
