JAMMU: A music programme of Dogri lyrics titled ‘Anil Sharma Te Undiyaa Rachanan’ was presented by the Nami Dogri Sanstha here at K.L Sehgal Hall.
The programme was conceived and presented by eminent music director and celebrated singer of the State, Suraj Singh and his disciples. Anil Sharma already has two Hindi books to his credit and started writing in Dogri from 2005. A Law Graduate from Jammu University is presently serving as Branch Manager State Bank of India Jammu.
On the occasion, Kavinder Gupta, Speaker, Legislative Assembly was the Chief Guest whereas Capt Lalit Sharma presided over the function. Yogacharya, S.K Jain was the special invitee.
Dr. Chanchal Sharma, Karuna Magotra, Juhi Singh, Sunil Mastana, Sunil Verma and Arush Gupta gave their melodious voice to the Dogri lyrics of poet Anil Sharma. The singers were supported on the orchestra by Joginder on Tabla, Sanjay Pashi on Guitar, Krishan Kumar Johny on Synth and Rakesh Anand on flute. All lyrics were musically composed by Suraj Singh.Kavinder Gupta, while lauding the efforts of Nami Dogri Sanstha for promoting Dogri language and its culture, said that Dogri is the identity of Dogras and it gives us recognition both at national and international levels.
Capt Lalit Sharma said that felicitation and recognition of the talent not only encourages the writers and artists to further boost their talent but is also an acknowledgment by the society for their contributions in strengthening the social fabric and forming a tolerant, vibrant, responsive and a meaningful society which is sensitive towards the human feelings and aspirations.
