JAMMU: The OBC Cell of National Conference on Sunday called upon youth to come forward in a big way and play their significant role in isolating divisive forces and strengthening bonds of amity and brotherhood in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Co-Chairman of the Cell Abdul Gani Teli said that National Confernce has all along fought forces inimial to peace and brotherhood and is ready to offer any sacrifice to preserve the traditional unity, which has been corner stone of the party. He recalled the great role of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah during most testing times and said his commitment to secularism has been guiding philosophy for generations.
Teli was speaking at a function organized by the OBC Cell at Bhathandi here to welcome new entrants including some prominent PDP and Congress workers into the National Conference.
They were profusely garlanded and greeted by the party leaders. The new entrants pledged that to work as soldiers of the party and reach out to people with its policies and programmes.
