JAMMU: This Sunday Natrang presented a new Hindi play Naye Mehmaan in its Sunday Theatre Series. The play has been written by Udhay Shanker Bhat and was directed by Neeraj Kant.
Natrang also celebrated the birth anniversary of Bhartendu Harishchandra, popularly known as the father of modern Hindi literature as well as Hindi theatre.
Speaking at the occasion, Balwant Thakur informed that Bhartendu Harishchandra used theatre as a tool to shape public opinion. His plays like Bharat Durdasha, Satya Harishchandra, Andher Nagar, etc are a landmark contribution to Indian Literature.
Natrang actors who acted in the play include Shivam Singh, Vaishali Sharma, Sushant Singh Charak, Nisha, Aarti Devi, Sheetal Jadhan, Ujhwal Bandral, Sanket and Aafaque Khan. The lights of the play were executed by Neeraj Kant whereas Manoj Kumar Lalotra rendered music of the play. The show was coordinated by Mohammad Yaseen and the presentations were done by Zeeshan Haider.
