SAMBA: National Deworming Day was celebrated in Govt Higher Secondary School Sumb and Albendazole tablets were served among the students provided by the Primary Health Center Sumb. Principal Razor Singh Sambyal while serving the medicines stressed that no candidate should be left without this medicine.
National Deworming Day was also observed at Government Higher Secondary School Vijaypur in District Samba.
Chief Medical Officer Samba Dr Rajinder Samyal was Chief Guest on this occasion while Programme Officer Jyoti Slathia was Guest of Honour.
DODA: In order to celebrate and observance of the National Deworming Day, the Department of Health Block Ghat in collaboration with BPMU NHM Ghat organised a programme at Royal Academy Islamia High School Ghat (Doda) on Friday.
Block Medical Officer Ghat Dr Mohammad Fareed Bhat was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
On this occasion, students from Govt Girls Middle School Ghat were also given the tablets of Albendazole.
The programme was attended by doctors, paramedical Staff of Health Department Block Ghat besides the staff and students of Royal Academy Islamia High School Ghat and Govt Girls Miiddle School Ghat.
RAMBAN: Ramban Admin set the target to provide de-worming medicine to over 1.7 lakh children to mark the National Deworming Day.
District Development Commissioner (DDC) Showkat Aijaz Bhat launched the deworming drive organised by Department of Health and Family Welfare in coordination with District Administration here at the Government Higher Secondary by providing medicine to the students.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Safi-ud- Din Khan, Chief Education Officer, AHFani, Medical Superintendent DH, Dr D V Singh, Dy. CMO Dr. Iqbal Bhat, school Principal, District Youth Services and Sports Officer and other officer and officials of different Deptts attended the function.
UDHAMPUR: To observe National Deworming Day, District Health society Udhampur organised a programme here at Govt. High School and distributed de-worming tablets among the children of 1-19 years age.
District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar was the Chief Guest on the occasion who formally inaugurated the campaign by administering deworming efficacious drug to the girl students.
Chief Medical Officer, Udhampur Dr K C Dogra, District social Welfare Officer, Vipin Bhagat, CDPO Udhampur, Yash Sharma, Medical Superintendent DH Udhampur, Dr.Vijay Basnotra, Dy. Chief Medical Officer, Dr. S.D Atri, District Immunization Officer, Dr. Santosh Sharma, District Health Officer, Dr. Janak Raj, BMO Tikri, Dr J D, Head Master High School Garhi, DPMU NHM ,RBSK team of Block Tikri were also present on the occasion.
RAJOURI: The National Deworming Day was observed across Rajouri in all medical blocks as over 2.40 Lakh children in the age group of 1-19 years were administered deworming medicine.
Against target of 2.6145 Lakh children 2.4055 Lakh were provided free of cost deworming pills. The left out children will be covered through house to house visit by ASHAs on mop up day fixed on August 17, 2018.
In the campaign, hundreds of officials of Health, Social Welfare and Education Departments were involved for administering deworming pills to the children in the age group of 1-19 years.
Concerned Block Medical Officers and Child Development Project Officers coordinated the campaign in Medical Block Sunderbani, Nowshera, Kalakote, Kandi, Darhal and Manjakote under overall supervision and guidance of concerned ADC and SDM. Tehsildars were also deployed for monitoring of the campaign to ensure that no child in targeted age group is left unattended.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Suresh Gupta launched campaign at some preschools and schools and MS DH Rajouri Dr Mehmood Bajjar at District Hospital whereas BMOs initiated campaign in their respective jurisdiction.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad had issued strict instructions to health authorities for ensuring cent percent coverage of targeted children besides following established SOPs to avoid possibility of any complications to the children.
