STATE TIMES NEWSSAMBA: MV International School (MVIS) organised a street play on ‘Carbon Emission’ near Block Development Office, here in which 27 students from classes 6th to 11th participated. This public show was aimed at generating awareness amongst the people regarding the harmful effects of emission of carbon in the atmosphere in world. The students showcased how different factors like increased factory setups, fuel, gas, electricity, transport, waste, etc are the leading factors for change in climate leading to Global Warming. The show also made people aware about the policies and programmes, that government has adopted to tackle this issue. This activity was organised under the banner of British Council International School Award (ISA). The play was witnessed by Sarpanchs of Samba District, businessman of Samba market and prominent citizens. The school authorities extended thanks to Rupinder Kour, BDO Samba for providing the venue for the event. The public gathered appreciated the efforts made by students to create awareness among them.
