JAMMU: Provincial President, J&K National Conference, Devender Singh Rana on Friday inaugurated three-day long Model United Nations (MUN) Conference 2018 at KC Public School, here.
A total of 137 delegates from various prestigious schools of Jammu are taking part in the conference.
In his inaugural speech, Rana underlined the importance of UNO and its various organs rendering yeoman’s services in maintaining peace in the world and finding effective solutions to global problems.
He wished the delegates great success in their deliberations spread over three days of the conference.
The MUN Conference is totally student-led and is being organised and supervised by a Committee of 16 students with Amogh Bansal as Secretary General, Sahar Rohmetra as Director General and Raghav Sharma as Organising Head.
The UN SC is being headed by Amogh Bansal and Sparsh Bhat, UNHRC by Sahar Rohmetra and Osheen Mahajan, AIPPM by Avril Attri and Karan Dhar and IP by Sarthak Gupta.
