JAMMU: Aankh Micholi, a Mumbai based hard folk/fusion band on Saturday spellbound the audience by their powerful lyrics and soulful music at Hari Niwas, Palace Jammu.
Formed in 2015, this five-piece folk/fusion alternative rock band started composing songs that depicted the various hidden aspects and emotions of this world.
The band is currently on tour of North India to spread their art. It was first time that a musical band from Mumbai added Jammu as its destination to spread the folk/fusion rock band music.
The musical concert was held in presence of large number of people especially youth. On the occasion, former Union Minister was the chief guest.
Aashran Mahajan, a son of soil and student of True School of Music, Mumbai was also the part of team ‘Aankh Micholi’ touring Jammu. He enthralled the audience by singing combinations of bollywood songs.
The programme was organized by Elegante Anant, The Fashion Studio in association with The Vegelecious Mahadev, a family restaurant.
Speaking on the occasion, Organizers said “In its endeavour to bring the folk music clubbed with rock band from Maharashtra to this part of country, particularly to Jammu. We have invited the group to Jammu to inspire the youth and also to spread the message of peace and harmony by their music and art.
Other top performers of the band are Osho Jain, Bharat Chandore, Akshay Dbhadkar, Pankaj Pathe, Hansel Dias, Ankit Yadav, Tushar Borse, Avani Kamdar, Deepak Yadav and Jayesh Malani.
