RAJOURI: In a bid to give boost to business and generate more employment opportunities in Rajouri-Poonch, Senior BJP Leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta called on the Chairman of J&K Bank Parvez Ahmad. He mulled on various projects and initiatives that can be carried out to boost employment and business in the twin border districts. MLC brought various projects in his notice pertaining to public-private enterprises and Mudra scheme that can be encouraged here. He said that the businessmen and traders of the twin-district are honest to the banks and thus investment can be made to promote business and industry here.
MLC apprised him with the fact that the benefits of MUDRA schemes are not enjoyed by the people of twin border district in large numbers as compared to other regions. He said ” We will be grateful if J&K Bank takes up the initiative of organising MUDRA awareness camps in the remote pockets of Rajouri-Poonch so that the people living in the most backward and borders areas can avail the benifits of this scheme”. “MUDRA scheme has the potential to boost the economy and employment, if given right direction and supervision”, he added. Ahmed assured him that drives will be held to promote MUDRA scheme and to apprise people with its benefits.
MLC also forwarded the list of villages where there is dire need of setting up of J&K Bank branches. The villages included in the list are Doongi, Teraru, Lower Moghla, Kalaban, Gambhir Muglan. Ahmed promised to consider all suggestions and assured prompt actions.
