State Times News HIRANAGAR: Horticulture Department started one month training for fruit and vegetable preservation for women at village Sedda Block Hiranagar under guidance of Chief Horticulture Officer Kathua C.L Sharma. Over 100 women are taking part in the training. Anil Chhibber Manager cum Chemist Kathua emphasised about the need of fruit preservation training programmes for properly utilizing the fruit production of area by the preservation procedures for value addition. Sanjeev Kumar DLSMS imparted awareness about various departmental schemes for the welfare of farming communities. Devinder Sharma demonstrated the process of making various value addition products of mango like jam, squash etc. Concerned Sarpanch Ashwani Sharma appreciated the Deptt for taking such initiatives.
