Jammu: Prime Minister, Narendra Modi shall lay the foundation stone of Pakal Dul HE Project (1000 MW) during his visit to Jammu on May 19, 2018, at Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu.
This project is being constructed on River Marusudar which is a tributary of River Chenab in District Kishtwar of J and K. The project shall be executed by Chenab Valley Power Projects [P] Ltd. a joint venture amongst NHPC Ltd. (Govt. of India Enterprise), JKSPDC (Govt. of J&K Undertaking) and PTC India Ltd. Civil Works of Power House Package has been awarded to AFCON Jal JV. The project shall generate 3330 MU of energy in 90 per cent dependable year. The project shall comprise of four units of 250 MW each.
The project is scheduled to be completed in 66 months at an estimated cost of Rs 8,112 crore, said a handout issued here on Wednesday.
