JAMMU: MLC Ramesh Arora on Monday started developmental works at Karan Nagar area of Jammu city.
While addressing the gathering, Arora said that we are heading towards making Jammu a Smart City and we require more involvement of public and government departments.
Among those who were present include Tej Krishan, Dinesh Gupta, Ashok Gupta, Kasturi Lal and Prithpal Singh.
Later, Arora, while chairing a meeting, stressed upon the municipal officials to identify those who deal in manufacturing/preparation of eatables and ensure their registeration with municipality. “For this purpose the Corporation should issue a notification to inform all”, he added.
Places which are used by the people as garbage dumping sites including Rani Talab, Panjtirthi, Karan Nagar, Circular Road, Janipur, New Plot and Sarwal were taken into consideration and remedial measures to get these places free from garbage were discussed. Matter of illegal constructions was also discussed with the Joint Commissioner JMC at the meeting wherein he assured that all possible measures will be taken to stop this illegal activity.
