JAMMU: MLC Romesh Arora MLC is going to participate in the three-day International Parliamentar-ians Conference (Asia and Africa) scheduled to be commenced from September 13 at Hotel Le Meridien New Delhi.
The international conference will be held on topic ‘Enhancing the role of Parliamentarians in the inter-linkage between Population Issues and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development’.
The parliamentarians from various countries including Cameroon, Djibouti, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, Malaysia, Nepal, Tajisktan, Japan, Philippine, Lao PDR, Turkey, Jordan and India will also be the part of international conference.
Ramesh Arora said that such type of conference gives an opportunity to understand the working of democracy and other forms of government in different countries.
Arora appreciated the role of Indian Association of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (IAPPD), a national Autonomous non-profitable organisation working under the chairmanship of Prof P.J Kurien, Deputy Chairman Rajya Sabha and Asian Population and Development Association (APDA) which is headed by former Prime Minister of Japan, Yasuo Fukuda, who are jointly organising this international conference.
