POONCH: Member Legislative Assembly Poonch Shah Mohd Tantray and District Development Commissioner Poonch Mohammad Aijaz Asad today attended the concluding day of Urs of Sain Ilahi Baksh at Battalkote, Loran, paid their obeisance at the shrine and prayed for peace on borders to curtail the loss of life there.
The second day of annual Urs of Saint Ilahi Baksh witnessed participation of thousands of people from across the Poonch district and other parts of the state and outside the state.
MLA Haveli who remained present at the shrine during two day of Urs met the devotees and said that the shrine of Sufi saint stands as an emblem of compassion, peace and devotion towards the universal values of humanism and brotherhood.
In the event organised by Management Committee of the shrine the district administration extended active cooperation for better management of the Urs. On the directions of DDC Poonch Aijaz Asad elaborate arrangements of power and water supply by PDD and PHE, fire tenders, ambulances by Fire & Emergency and Health Departments and Public Address System by Information Department were made during the Urs.
Public expressed their gratitude to DDC Poonch for making all necessary arrangements for conveniences of the public and the elaborate security arrangements which were put in place.
