JAMMU: Medical employees on Thursday staged protest in support of their demands including removal of pay anomalies.
Led by the JKMEF State President Sushil Sudan, the medical employees assembled in the premises of PHC Kot Bhalwal, Jammu, and raised slogans against the concerned authorities for ignoring their genuine demands.
The protesting medical employees were demanding clearance of DPC at par with Government Medical College/Drug & Food Control Organization, amendment of SRO 20, permanent solution of Salary Head 2211-Family Welfare, upgrade posts of Pharmacists, risk allowance for all non Gazetted Employees, promotion of Female Multipurpose Health Workers, removal of pay anomalies, over time allowance, creation of posts of Technical Officer in SHTO Workshop, removal of pay anomalies, etc.
While addressing the protesters, Sudan said that the Medical Employees Federation has been forced to start struggle to get its long pending demands addressed. He threatened to intensify the struggle if no action was taken on their genuine demands.
Health Minister, Bali Bhagat also visited the Dharna site and assured for early redressal of their demands.
Others who joined the protest include Manjeet Singh, Jaswant Singh, Vishal Patil, Rekha Kumari, Jagdish Kumar, Madan Kumar, Inayat, Ajit, Kuldeep Sharma and J.P Singh.
