JAMMU: Employees of Health Department on Monday celebrated World Pharmacy Day at Shashi Bala Memorial Park in Directorate Health Services (DHS) Complex here.
Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Gurjeet Singh Sudan was the Chief Guest in which large number of pharmacist from all blocks of Jammu District and other associated unions affiliated with Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) participated.
They threw light on the role of pharmacist in health care in all over the world.
While addressing the participants, Sushil Sudan, State President JKMEF highlighted the role of pharmacist in patient care.
He also highlighted the importance role of pharmacist while implementing treatment.
“Pharmacist works as a bridge between doctors and patients,” he said and urged to the pharmacists to take pledge on this auspicious day to serve suffering humanity with outmost dedication.
Choudhary Jarnail Singh also stressed upon the government to implement Pharmacy Act in J and K State.
Kamal Sawhany asked the government to consider all pending demand of pharmacists at the earliest.
Others who addressed the gathering were Vinod Shrma, Bharat Bhushan, Shaffket Hussain, Raj Kumar, Vishal Patil, Mela Singh, Vishav Bandhu, Anil Khajuria, Subash Choudhary, Dleep Singh, Surjeet Bhagat, Romesh Chander, Tarsem Lal, Pawan, Parshotam Sharma, Surinder Choudhary, Yougal Bakshi, Parfulet Singh, Pawan Singh, Anoop Singh, Mohd Salim, Jaswant Singh, Ashwani Kumar and Kulraj.
