STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chander Mohan Gupta on Thursday visitedSainik Colony and other adjoining areas under ward no 70 and listened to the grievances of residents. Narinder Singh, Councilor ward no 70 along with Arun Gupta, Executive Engineer JMC, Mohammad Taj Chowdhary Executive Engineer (UEED), Dr Saleem Khan, Health Officer JMC, officers of Electrical and Veterinary Section of JMC also accompanied the Mayor during his visit. The concerned Councilor as well as inhabitants of Sainik Colony informed the Mayor that their ward has been extended and there is urgent need of more Safaikaramcharis in the ward. Others issues highlighted on the occasion included construction and renovation of damaged/ Kachha lanes and drains, installation of street lights, immediate construction and de-silting of Nallas flowing through their area, lifting of stray dogs/animals and blacktopping of damaged roads etc. The Mayor assured the residents that all their demands will be sorted out at the earliest. He directed the concerned officers to take necessary measures for resolving the highlighted issues on war footing.
