STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta and Chairman Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal on Friday inaugurated Royal Circus and amusement rides event near Bhagwati Nagar bridge here. JMC Corporator ward no 14, Parmod Kapahi and State President, All Jammu Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC), Anil Sharma were the special guests during the inaugural event, which was organised by Sharma Brothers. The dignitaries took a round of the ground where circus and amusement rides were organised and witnessed stints of artists at circus. They appreciated the organisers for their efforts to provide an alternate space to people of Jammu city and adjoining localities for enjoying circus with their family members. Appreciating the efforts of organisers, the Mayor said, “Such events not only provide entertain to people, but also provide employment to local youth.” In his address, Team Jammu Chairman said that the circus would prove as a good hangout place for people with their families and friends. During the event, the artists of national and international repute, particularly Africans will entertain people with braving stints. “The people of Jammu will witness jaw-dropping circus performances from one of the ace-circus companies of the country, Royal Circus. On daily basis, three shows will be staged and the timing of the shows will be 1 pm, 4pm and 7pm,” Arun Sharma, the organiser of the event informed. “We are confident that the Circus shows, being performed by national and international artists, will mesmerise audience with braving stints like rope climb, ring dance, pole dance and others. Nominal rates have been kept for each show and advance booking will be done daily,” he said. The visitors can also enjoy different kinds of ‘Jhulas’ (swings) and artificial boating for children at the venue, apart from different food stalls. He appealed to the people to visit the venue in large number.
