STATE TIMES NEWS BILLAWAR: Former Minister and President DCC Kathua Dr Manohar Lal Sharma on Tuesday said government to hold in depth enquiry into illegal and back door appointments in J&K bank in last 4-5 years. While addressing monthly workers meeting at Mandli of Billawar constituency, Sharma welcomed the step by government to sack J&K Bank Chairman. He said that only removing the chairman is not the solution and emphasised for conducting in depth enquiry into many wrong doings happening in the bank which includes backdoor illegal appointments, allotments of loans worth hundreds of crores without formalities in brazen violation of Standard Operating Procedures ,release of Overdrafts of hefty amounts to habitual defaulters of other banks and afterwards many of such accounts turned Non-Performing Assets. He also requested the Governor to investigate and terminate illegal appointment of relatives of PDP& BJP leaders and conduct fresh and fair recruitment so that worthy can get their rights. Capt. Bansi lal, Sansar Singh, Adv Indu Bhushan Gupta, Adv Mohit Sharma, Ali Mohammed and Isher Dass Sangra were also present.
