State Times NewsUDHAMPUR: Reiterating the demand to give full powers to Panchayats, NPP President and Former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia said that full powers should be given to Panchayats before Block Development Elections. He also said that honorarium of Sarpanchs, Panchs, should also be increased Rs 10000 & Rs 5000 respectively. While addressing a meeting of near about 350 Sarpanchs, Panchs from Udhampur Constituency at Party Office, Mankotia said that all the leaders of Recognised Political Parties of J&K should be allowed to meet in terms of fair elections. He also said that no funds has been allotted to Sarpanch’s Panch’s due to which development of Panchayats has been eclipsed completely. Sr leader Dhani Ram Atri, Jagdev Singh Jagga, Amar Nath Mehra, Sunil Gudda, Sarpanch’s Sunil Manohar, Rakesh Sharma, Hansraj, Shibdev Singh, Ashok Kumar, Sudesh Kumar, Uttam Singh, Sanjit Kumar, Diwan Singh, Shamsher Singh, Veena Kumari, Darshana Devi, Nishat Akhtar, Sushma Devi, Anuradha etc were also present.
