JAMMU: Maharaja Hari Singh Social and Education Foundation, Jammu has decided to celebrate the Birth Anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh on September 23, 2018 with great enthusiasm keeping in view the aspirations of the people of the State.
In the meeting held here on Wednesday, Ran Vijay Singh, Trustee / Chairman of the Trust said that Maharaja Hari Singh was a true patriot who brought many social reforms like banning of the child marriage, free education to the children upto primary level, encouraged widow remarriages, banning of the untouchability and provided justice to all for the benefit of the general public, for which Maharaja Sahib is remembered by all the residents of Jammu and Kashmir State. He had also remarked “I have no religion, all religions are mine and my religion is Justice.”
In this connection, it is in place to mention that all the participants decided to celebrate the Birth Anniversary of Maharaja Sahib which falls on September 23 with great enthusiasm.
The meeting was attended to by the members of the trust, prominent citizens, intellectuals, educationists, senior citizens and peoples from all walks of life.
