Sports Reporter JAMMU: With the completion of cleaning and filling process at the only government-run swimming facility at MA Stadium, the J and K State Sports Council is all set to open it pool for the season next week. However, it has been learnt reliably that the management of the pool has fixed 17th April i.e. Monday the date for the formal opening of the swimming pool. Since, the swimming enthusiasts have already started approaching the Office of the Manager, Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here for fresh registration and renewal of the existing membership, the concerned staff has geared-up to take on the rush. Important to mention here that swimming pool remains the most attractive and revenue generating sports facility at the MA Stadium. However, unfortunately, with the increase in the pool depth at shallow end because of an engineering blunder committed by the State Sports Council (while renovating the pool) the only government-run swimming facility has upset those youngsters, who are below 4-feet in height. The technical staff at the pool does not allow beginners quoting different reasons.
