STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) urged the Governor’s Administration to pay five per cent DA Installment from July 2019 in favour of State employees and pensioners forthwith. Abdul Majid Khan, President of the Federation, said that the price of all essential goods are shooting sky high day-by-day and payment of Dearness Allowance / Dearness relief to the employees and pensioners respectively has been linked with rise in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) on the recommendation of the Pay Commission. In view of steep rise in price index, he said, State employees and pensioners are also facing the brunt on this account. Khan also sought hike in medical allowance, health insurance cover with affordable annual premium, payment of wage arrears, remuneration to employees and daily wage workers, regularization of ReT teachers and contractual employees.
