JAMMU: All J and K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) hailed the State Government for increasing the Minimum Daily Wage of unskilled, skilled and other types of workers to Rs 300.
Abdul Majid Khan, President of the Federation said that the workers were demanding hike in minimum daily wage to atleast Rs 350 in view of steep rising in the prices of essential goods of daily consumption to enable them to meet their bare minimum daily needs and aspirations. He also made a strong plea for regularisation of daily wage workers, Adhoc, contractual and consolidated paid employees. He demanded implementation of 7th CPC’s recommendations on Central Pattern in the J and K State, release of DA installment, enhancement of monthly medical allowance, etc.
