SAMBA: The local people of Panchayat Amli and Taloor block Sumb staged a protest against the polling employees and demanded recounting of the votes in both the Panchayats.
A large number of local people of aforesaid Panchayats assembled at DC Office Complex Samba under the leadership of defeated Sarpanchs Balram Kundal from Taloor and Trishla Devi from Amli and raised slogans against the polling employees.
They said that there was big rigging during the polling in both Panchayats with involvement of polling employees who were present during the counting and polling. They demanded recounting of the votes in said Panchayats.
Later they all sat on Dharna in front of ADC Office Samba and demanding recounting of votes. They also met ADDC Samba Pankaj Magotra and demanded recounting of votes in Panchayat Amli and Taloor.
ADDC Samba listened to their grievances and assured them that he would solve the problem as soon as possible.
