STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: The residents of ward no 32, Om Nagar on Sunday staged a protest against the Government for its failure to provide basic facilities to people. Led by Arun Mehra, District Vice President YP and Partap Singh Jamwal, State Vice President Young Panthers, a number of residents gathered at Main Chowk and raised slogans against the Government. Speaking on the occasion, Jamwal said that residents of the area had already intimated concerned authorities about dilapidated condition of the road but nothing has been done till date in the matter. He said that recently many accidents occurred on aforesaid road due to its damaged condition. He alleged that the concerned Department is least considerate to improve the condition of the road. Jamwal urged the concerned authorities to repair aforesaid road at the earliest, so that people may not suffer any more. Jamwal also asserted that PHE Department failed to ensure adequate supply of drinking water to people of aforesaid area. Others present in the protest included Kapil Dev Mehra (Jammu West Vice President), Bhanu Partap Singh Goria (President Jammu West Young Panthers), Arjun Suri, Ishan Gupta, Sagar, Sanjay Singh, Karan Mehra, Tanveer Singh, Ashish Suri, Sunny Gupta and Sonu Kumar.
