STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI: Army organised a lecture on “Eye Care and First Aid” at Youth Centre, Palma in Rajouri to create awareness amongst students and local population in remote areas where medical facilities are scarce. A large number of youth and locals from village Palma and adjoining villages attended the event. The main focus of this lecture was on imparting knowledge on managing cases of snake bite, fractures, burn injuries and control of bleeding in case of minor accidents. Youth were taught about eye care and first aid measures to be adopted in such circumstances and thereby save life or limb. This initiative was greatly appreciated by the locals and they expressed their gratitude for the knowledge imparted to them. Such events definitely have a lasting impact on villagers of remote and inaccessible areas that are devoid of basic medical facilities.
