KATHUA: Kundal XI Kathua registered a narrow seven-run win against Vicky XI Kathua to sail into the next round of the ongoing district level under-25 tournament for JKCA Premier Cricket Championship at Sports Stadium, here on Tuesday.
Batting first, Kundal XI scored 192 runs losing eight wickets in allotted 30 overs. Gulshan played brilliant innings of 66 not out coming off 53 deliveries with the help of eight boundaries. Sunil and Sunny contributed 30 and 24 runs respectively. Raj Kumar added valuable 24 runs to the total. For Vicky XI, skipper Vicky and Shekhar claim two wickets each. In reply, Vicky XI Kathua could make 185 runs losing all their wickets in 24.3 overs. Vicky made highest 58 runs, followed by Aashu and Tarun, who contributed 28 runs each. For Kundal XI, Sunil and Gulshan remained most successful bowlers with three wickets each while Sohan Lal took two.
Later, Gulshan was named Man of the Match. Sanjeev Singh and Rajesh Gupta were Umpires in this mach while Kulbushan Singh was Scorer.
