STATE TIMES NEWS KATRA: Kreeda Bharati Jammu and Kashmir has decided to establish district units with an aim to generate awareness among youth about healthy living through the medium of sports. “With the constitution of state unit last year, the organisation has planned to identify individuals of integrity and love for sports to establish units at the district level. To begin with such units will be set up at Reasi, Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch as also Udhampur,” informed veteran sports promoter and President of Kreeda Bharati J&K, Shiv Kumar Sharma. A number of other decisions were also taken in the Executive Committee meeting to give fillip to the activities by way of establishing Kreeda Centres. “Duties were assigned to the office bearers and those executive members to identify and establish Kreeda Centres while looking for individuals for the proposed district units,” added former Joint Secretary of the J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC), Shiv Kumar Sharma. The meeting also discussed the sports disciplines to be selected for upcoming Kreeda Centres. Among others present were Suneel Mahajan, Surinder Singh Bagal (Vice Presidents), Rajesh Chander Vaid (Secretary), Vikas Sharma (Treasurer), Anju Gupta and Sanjeev Sharma (Executive Members).
