JAMMU: Kidzee, a pre-school of ZEE Learn Limited celebrated Maha Shivratri at its branches Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat, Talab Tillo and Trikuta Nagar with religious fervour and enthusiasm.The function started with the special assembly in which the teachers gave demonstration regarding the occasion in which students and staff delivered speeches related to Maha Shivratri. The toddlers were dressed up in Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati’s costumes depicting the beliefs of devotees in them. A corner was decorated related to Maha Shivratri for making the children aware about this festival. The students were made aware about the motive behind the celebration which symbolises the convergence of Shiva and Shakti.Vishwa Bharati College of Education celebrated Maha Shivratri in college auditorium on Monday.The programme started with lighting of traditional lamp by the Chief Guest J.LKoul, President VB Women’s Welfare Institution, Dr. O.P Razdan Senior member management and other dignitaries amidst chanting of Mantras.Prof. Sunita Kampassi welcomed chief guest and other management members present on the occasion. The programme enthralled everyone present there by the variety of items presented by the teacher- trainees and the faculty. The solo Bhajans sung by Prof. Nirmal Razdan and Sonia were the mark of the day. Speeches on Maha Shivratri by Archana, amazing facts on ‘Shiv’ by Aditi, poem by Smita Sharma were some of the items in the programme. Tandav dance by Aditi Sharma was specialty of the day. J.L Koul, while appreciating the performances, blessed the college and threw light on Shiv and Shakti Milan on Maha Shivratri.Prof. Asha Kitchlu presented vote of thanks. Archana Sharma anchored the programme.
