JAMMU: KC Sports Club entered the final of the ongoing Fifth Baisakhi Cricket Premier League being organised by J and K Sports Promoters Club in collaboration with District Police Jammu at Parade Ground, here. Earlier in the semifinal played on Saturday, KC Sports Club defeated J and K Sports Promoters Club by 41 runs.
Batting first, KC Sports Club scored 171 runs in 20 overs for the loss of eight wickets. Ateev Saini was the top scorers with 49 runs (4×4, 1×6) while Suryansh smashed 43 (4×4, 2×6) and Yudhveer contributed 19 runs to the total. For J and K Sports Promoters Club, Praful claimed three wickets while Shamsher, Deepak and Anchal shared one each. In reply, J and K Sports Promoters Club could not achieve the target and made 130 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the 20 overs. Samad made 70 runs while Vishal scored 17 runs and Rajesh Gill added 16 runs to the total. For KC Sports Club, Vivek scalped four wickets while Abishant took two and Aman picked one. Vivek was declared as the Man of the Match.
In another match Road Safety Club defeated ICC Club by 54 runs. Batting first, Road Safety Club was bowled out for 157 runs in 20 overs with Yasir 52, Naseer 43 and Manzoor 17 runs were the main scorers. For ICC Club, Atul grabbed three wickets while Rahul and Rajiv shared two each and Akshay claimed one. In reply, ICC failed to chase the target and scored 102 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs, Akash with (38) and Rahul (18) runs were the main scorers. For Road Safety Club, Zuber, Vinay, R.K Bhat and Imtiaz shared two wickets each while Yasir took one. Yasir was declared as Man of the Match for his all-round performance. Today’s matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Sandeep Manchanda, Sanjay and Vinod. Tomorrow’s Fixture: Second semifinal match between Simula Sports Club and Road safety Club at 3:00 PM.
