JAMMU: The superkids of KC International School celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav, with great enthusiasm and gaiety in a colourful function held at the school campus, here.
The event started with a traditional Ganesh Pujan and Aarti by Principal, Subhendu Sarkar, who narrated to the young students the story of Ganesha’s birth. Mamta Kalotra sang Ganesh Vandana while Dance Teacher, Raksha presented a classical dance, depicting the importance of Lord Vinayaka.
The children sang Aarti and worshipped the diety. The entire school was filled with the fragrance of selfless devotion. Kids also chanted Shalokas and Mantras with their teachers.
Later, school principal said that one should not forget the culture, tradition and importance of celebrating festivals. The Headmistress, Nidhi Bhosle asked the students to celebrate the festival with joy and devotion.
