JAMMU: In continuation of week-long NSS camp, an extension lecture was held in KC College of Education on Wednesday.
Prof. R.P Sharma from Department of Geography, University of Jammu was a Resource Person on the occasion. The programme started with lighting of traditional lamp which symbolises a transition of light from darkness and is considered as a good omen before the commencement of an educational endeavour.
The welcome address was presented by Dr. Sanjay Tickoo, Principal of the College and the bouquet was presented as a mark of respect to the visiting guest.
Principal gave a brief introduction of Prof. R.P Sharma and lauded his contribution in the field of education. Further he asserted that Prof. Sharma’s expertise would definitely prove fruitful in providing a right direction for the teachers as well as students.
Prof. Sharma delivered his lecture on the topic ‘Climatic Condition of India’ sharing his experience.
The programme was convened by senior faculty member and Programme Coordinator NSS Priya Gupta. The programme concluded with presenting of vote of thanks by senior faculty member Puja Sharma.
