JAMMU: The management committee of Parcheen Mandir Raja Mal Dev, Kali Jani, on Thursday took out a ‘Kalash Yatra’ with religious fervour here on Thursday in connection with installation of idols of Mahakali, Radha Krishan, Ram Darbar, Ganesh ji, Shiv Parivar in the temple premises.
People from all walks of life participated in the Kalash Yatra starting from Har-Ki- Poudi passing through main Bazars and culminated at Temple Raja Mal Dev.
Social activist Subash Shastri, President of the Mandir Committee Satish Tandon, Chairman Arun Sethi, Senior Vice President Vijay Gupta, Deepak Gupta, Ruby Jain, M.S Charak, Chaman Lal, Ashish Jain, Anil Dogra, Rahul Tandon, Nelam Gupta, Rachana Gupta and Puja Gupta were also present.
The committee members said that the Murti Sthapna will be held on June 16 in the temple premises. Grand Bhandara shall be held on the same day, they added. They appealed to the people from different walks of life to participate in large numbers and seek blessings of Devi Devtas. They also urged the local administration to provide necessary logistics like security, cleanliness, drinking water and uninterrupted power supply.
