JAMMU: Jyoti Rupaal was crowned Classic Mrs India-2017, first runner up in a glitterati event held in Chennai on 4th July 2017, in a one and only national pageant for married women organised by Deepali Phadnis, Director Mrs India Pageants and Productions Private Limited.
“A total of 46 women reported for the finals and it was difficult for the judges to select the winners and runners up because all the contestants were winners and runners up of their respective State or Zone,” elated Jyoti Rupaal told reporters here on Monday.
The finalists, she said, were selected in a very streamlined and standardised selection process over a period of time between December 2016 to July 2017 which involved auditions, State and Zonal Pageant culminating in national level pageant.
“I represented the State of Jammu and Kashmir in the North Zone contest held in Delhi on 4th April 2017 where I qualified for participating in the National Pageant,” she disclosed.
“It’s a dream come true. I am the happiest person today. I would like to work in the field of women empowerment in the State of J and K, Punjab and UT of Chandigarh,” Jyoti said.
