STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament Lok Sabha BJP, inaugurated a newly installed 250 KVA sub-station under Member of Parliament Local Area Development Funds at Ward No 49, Channi Rama in presence of Ex-Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, MLC Ch Vikram Randhawa and Baldev Singh Billoria. Speaking on the occasion, Jugal said that it was long pending demand of the people as the existing transformers in the area were unable to bear the existing load. A demand was raised up by both former legislator Gandhi Nagar and MLC Vikram Randhawa following which a sum of Rs 8.80 Lakh was sanctioned from MPLAD Fund for the installation of the aforesaid transformer. He said that it was the sincere efforts of the Vikram Randhawa and Kavinder Gupta for ensuring that the people of the area get basic amenities. Randhawa said that the installation of the new transformer would provide regular power supply to the residents of the locality.
