STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Jammu Sanskriti School (JSS), Jammu on Thursday organised debate on the topic ‘Which form of government is better: parliamentary or presidential?’ as a part of ISA curriculum. The debate was adjudicated by the Megh Jyoti (Pgt English) and Randeep Kaur (Pgt Pol Sc.). The event comprised of four teams and all the teams debated presenting their ideologies. There was also a questioning hour for the audiences. Team Ist with team members Vibhour Singh Charak and Akshaj Khajuria of Class X fetched the winner trophy and Sushant of Class X bagged the best debater trophy in midst of cut throat arguments. The prizes were accorded to them by the Principal of the school. Aggrandizing the same, Rohini Aima, Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson of the School, said that debates on such topics are paramount nowadays as these things broaden the horizons of children thereby making them capable enough to know the pros and cons of types of government prevalent in the different countries of the world. The programme was conceived and conducted under the supervision of ISA Co-ordinator Munmun Kohli.
