STATE TIMES NEWS KATHUA: For streamlining LPG distribution system and to bring transparency in their working procedures, DDC, Dr. Raghav Langer today inspected the LPG distribution agencies at Chadwal and Palli Morh area of Kathua. DDC was accompanied by AD FCS & CA, Zakir Hussain Wani, Asstt. Controller LMD, Kuldeep Raj besides others during the inspection. The inspected LPG agencies included Shaheed Sukhjit Gas agency at Chadwal and Ruby Gas Service at Palli Morh of Kathua. During the inspection, DDC enquired about the stock position of cylinders (Empty & Filled), subsidized and non subsidized cylinders along with commercial cylinders and Display board at godown indicating current stock position. Date of packaging, weight and expiry of cylinders was also checked during the inspection and it was directed to the agency that their fire extinguishers should be properly calibrated and empty, filled and worn out cylinders should be stocked separately. The team also enquired about the status of home delivery of cylinders and whether beneficiaries were charged for LPG cylinders under PM Ujjwala Yojana or any other scheme. The inspection team booked the Plant Manager of Bottling Plant and Sale Officer of the Gas Company under Legal Metrology Act and Packaged Commodities Rules 2011 for violation of the Act.
