STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) on Wednesday sealed and demolished the construction raised unauthorizedly and in violation of the building plan. During a drive to check illegal constructions across Jammu city, the Enforcement staff of JMC on the directions of Commissioner and under the supervision of Joint Commissioner (A), JMC sealed the structure which was being illegally constructed by Raj Bharat Bhagat at 129, Palace Road, Dogra Hall, Jammu. Besides sealing a shop being constructed illegally by Jagjit Singh at Plot No. 487/488, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, the enforcement staff also demolished the illegal construction being raised by Sonu Sharma at 77 Extn. 2, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The Jammu Municipal Corporation initiated the action under the provisions of J&K Control of Building Operation Act 1998. Municipal authorities requested all the Jammu City dwellers to refrain from any act of construction and encroachments and support the Municipal Corporation’s endeavours to make city clean and organised.
