JAMMU: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) on Friday launched drive against the polythene carry bags and recovered Rs 12,400 as fine from the defaulters.
On the instructions of M Raju, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jammu and under the supervision of R.S Jamwal, Joint Commissioner (A), the enforcement staff led by Chief Enforcement Officer launched drive against the use of polythene carry bags and allied material.
During the drive, team inspected the shops
and other outlets and seized the polythene
carry bags and allied material in the areas of Indira Chowk, Maheshpura Chowk, Bhagwati Nagar and recovered Rs 12,400 as compound fee from the defaulters on the spot.
