JAMMU: To instill confidence among students by introducing them to various hues of country’s cultural diversity, JK Public School Panjtirthi on Saturday held a thrilling cultural activity comprising dance performances, skit and Bhangra besides prize distribution for winners of quiz competition.
The occasion also marked the celebration of Baisakhi festival which the toddlers of JKPS Panjtirthi enjoyed to the fullest.
The calls of the Koel, the aroma of ripened wheat, the Dhol beats reverberated in the air as JaKiians presented a lively dance item on Baisakhi.
As usual, Bhangra by the energetic and agile students stole the show with one and all tapping their feet on the beats of Dhol.
Later, they exhibited a skit titled ‘Bloodbath on Baisakhi: The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre’.
Addressing the gathering, Principal JKPS Panjtirthi Suman Banbah extended Baisakhi greetings to students, staff and others present on the occasion. She also felicitated the winners of quiz competition and urged them to continue with the endeavour to excel in all spheres of life.
