STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: World Heritage Day was celebrated at JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi with great aplomb. Jakiians were told about the varied facets of heritage which includes forts, palaces, animals, birds, festivals, dances, music and Rangolis. Jakiians also highlighted that heritage is a treasure trove of the past and it is the responsibility of the present generation to protect preserve and promote its continuity for the future generation. The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah asked various questions regarding the current affairs and the concerned celebration. Winners were appreciated and awarded by the principal. Suman Banbah expressed that world heritage is the shared wealth of human kind. This special day offers an opportunity to raise the public awareness about the diversity of cultural heritage and the efforts that are required to protect and conserve it, as well as draw attention to its vulnerability.
