STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is a national programme for educating and popularising science among school students from classes VI to XI. It also endeavours to identify the bright minds among the students community, who are keen on subjects related to science. VVM is initiated is by Vijnana Bharti (VIBHA) in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organisation under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT), an institution under the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India. A young and bright JKIAN Viraansh Bhardwaj, student of class X (then), participated in the State level programme on January 20, 2019, at IIIM Jammu. He brought laurels to school by winning first position, a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and got selected for nationals. It was indeed a fruitful experience for him as he represented his school. National camp for VVM 2018-2019 will be conducted on May 18 and 19, 2019 at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad and Viraansh Bhardwaj, a student of class XI (now) is going to attend the National camp. S.K Singh, Principal, JKPS Kunjwani blessed him and wished him good luck. He appreciated Manju, VVM Coordinator for channelising the energy of the student into right direction.
