JAMMU: JK Public School (JKPS), Kunjwani embarks on many endeavours, British Council being one of them; preparing the JKIANS for 21st century challenges.
Today in a collaborative activity under British Council International School Award Accreditation, JKPS Kunjwani organised a number of events which highlighted the role of science in our lives.
The activity included ‘Science Expo’ wherein the junior scientists of the school showcased some working models inspiring other students in the assembly to use some eco-friendly ways to make their lives better. In another event, a ‘Quiz’ was organised. The theme of quiz competition was ‘Recent Inventions and Discoveries in Japan and China in Comparison to India and Afghanistan’.
A debate competition was also organised for the students of classes IX and XI. The students took an active part in the debate and put forth their views on both positive and negative aspects of science and technology. Principal, S.K Singh also insisted on using alternatives to make life easier and not rely on machines only to do any task.
He said that science and technology have positive as well as negative impacts but it is the human being who can best decide what is good for him.
