KATHUA: JK Public School Kathua celebrated Mothers Day with enthusiasm. The day started with a special assembly followed by inter-house competitions for different classes.
Some of the competitions organised for children were crown making, paper flower bouquet making , 3-D card making and fireless cooking. A special programme was organised for the mothers. The Coordinator Jyoti Salgotra welcomed the guests and greeted all the mothers who made an effort to be a part of the celebration.
Students of class 1st presented a song dedicated to their mothers. Mothers also participated and enjoyed various activities which included musical chair and supermom contest. Mothers also shared their thoughts and feelings on motherhood and appreciated the gesture of the school to organise such a programme specially for mothers. Principal Anil Pathania applauded the students and mothers for their performance and said that mothers are the sweetest gift from God to us. He further added that there is no way we can ever really thank our mother for all she does for us nevertheless we must make it a habit to keep reminding ourselves of the various sacrifices she made while raising us. Mothers Day is the best time to say in words how much you love and care for your mom. The function got over with the vote of thanks by Coordinator Jyoti Salgotra.
