STATE TIMES NEWS KATHUA: JK Public School Kathua celebrated 550th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev with devotion and reverence. A special assembly was organised that began with Gurbani prayer, followed by a speech by Ishmeet Kour, a student of class II on Guru Nanak Dev. On the occasion, Gurbani Kirtan was performed by the students of the school. Indumeet Kour, a teacher of the school, highlighted the teachings of Guru Sahib. Gatka, a traditional martial art associated with Sikhism, was also performed by the students. The spiritual ambience of the devotional Kirtan and Ardas and Gatka performance rented a religious fervour in the air and the whole gathering. Principal, Anil Pathania threw light on the life of Guru Nanak Dev and inspired students to follow the path given by him. The function ended by the distribution of Parsad to one and all.
