STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Peeved over the fasting deteriorating law and order situation in the State as also the demoralisation caused to the security forces due to unwarranted restraints forced upon them by the government, Harsh Dev Singh, JKNPP Chairman and former Minister, has described the security scenario as unprecedented which qualified for imposition of Governor Rule in the State.
He said that with the incumbent government pursuing appeasement policy and promoting the rampaging anti-nationals, subversives and the separatists in the State, it was a fit case for invocation of Sec 92 of the State Constitution.
He was addressing a protest at Exhibition Ground here organised by the JKNPP against the humiliation of the security personnel of CRPF and other armed forces by the anti-national elements in Kashmir.
The angry JKNPP workers torched the effigy of BJP-PDP coalition and raised slogans against Central and State Governments. Strongly condemning the BJP-PDP government for making valiant Jawans in Kashmir as objects of jeers, Singh lamented that never before in the history of the state had the brave Indian Soldiers been so humiliated as to be slapped, stoned, booed, manhandled and humiliated.
He said that Indian soldier had embraced death smilingly on the borders while fighting enemy but assault on his self respect by pampered brutes was wholly unacceptable.
He said that dying on the borders to defend the sovereignty and integrity of nation had always been an honour for the Indian soldier but helplessly falling prey to the assaults of anti-national elements in full public view was the greatest humiliation for them for which the top leadership of the country needed to apologise.
He said that the most shameful spectable of pampered rogues slapping and trampling the valiant Jawans in Kashmir had disparaged the 125 crore Indians causing their heads to bow with shame.
He said that every nationalist Indian was eagerly looking towards PM Modi with his 56 inch chest and his seductive persona and desperately waiting for him to avenge the assault upon our brave-hearts who symbolised national honour and pride.
Holding the Central and State Governments responsible for unprecedented chaos and disorder in the State, Harsh lambasted the BJP in particular for its failure to appropriately respond to the highly volatile and explosive situation created in the recent past. He said that not only was the assault on Indian Jawans in BJP partnered government most shocking but the saffron flavoured government further owed an explanation for the extremely low polling in the Kashmir elections which had fallen to an all time low of 2 per cent in the history of State. He said that it was utterly shocking to note the BJP leadership making the armed forces defensive and apologetic merely to keep its coalition partner in good humour and its alliance intact.
Regretting the cowardly surrenders of BJP on varied issues before its coalition partner, for power sake, Singh observed that the saffron party’s conduct did not merit mere condemnation, it merited mourning. He said that BJP’s ambitions had lit fires which could take not months but years to subside.
Inviting the attention situation of the President of India and State Governor towards the extremely sensitive and volatile situation in the State, Singh said that to save Kashmir and rather the State of J and K as which the only remedy was to dismiss the present govt and impose Governor Rule at the earliest.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Yash Paul Kundal, Rajesh Padgotra, Parshotam Parihar, Khajoor Singh, Udhayveer, Naresh Chib, Nirmal Kishore, Narinder Sharma, Rakesh Verma, Ravinder Jamwal, Rashpaul Singh besides others.
