UDHAMPUR: A meeting of General Line Teachers Forum (JKGLTF) was organised under the chairmanship of Rakesh Singh and other executive members of the district on Monday which was presided over by State President of the forum Neeraj Sharma. Addressing the teachers Neeraj Sharma highlighted the issues which include upgradation of pay scale and pay band from existing 5,200 -20,200 + 24,00/2,800 to 9,300 – 34,800 +4,600/4,800 for which Education Minister and Finance Minister agreed to remove the anomaly of teachers which is a genuine demand before the implementation of Seventh Pay Commission. Forum also condemned the SDM Mahore order to inspect the punctuality of the teachers by Patwaris and demanded its immediate revocation.
Other demands highlighted by the forum include conduct of new DPC of teachers to masters and Lab. assistant to teacher, issue of General Confirmation Order in favour of those who have completed their probationary tenure of two years services, increase cadre strength of all cadre in the department as there is very less promotional avenues left in the department, proper implementation of detachment order as hundreds of teachers, masters, lecturer are attached etc.
Vivek Gupta, Jeevkant, Ajay Dogra, Surinder Singh, Himmat and Joshil Sharma were also present.
