JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association (JKBWA) on Sunday condemned Pakistan for fomenting trouble in Jammu and Kashmir to satiate its vested interests.
In the meeting of the Association held at Marh, its President Sat Paul Lakhotra asserted that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are with nationalists’ forces in their struggle against cross border terrorism which is eating up vitals of the society. “Despite people of this border State facing this trouble for the last 28 years one thing is clear that J&K is an integral part of India and there will be no compromise on national unity and integrity”, maintained.
The meeting which was attended by the large number of Batwal community members, expressed concern over China trying to poke its nose into Kashmir affairs and changing the status quo at the India-Bhutan-Tibet tri-junction in Dokalam area of Sikkim.
Later, the Association elected Naib Sarpanch Ram Lal Lakhotra, Numberdar Sardari Lal, Havildar Des Raj and Kamal Singh as its Zonal Presidents. Besides, a Land Purchase Committee was constituted with its constituents including Sub. Maj. Romesh Sargotra, Baljeet Kaith and Kamal Singh.
Capt. Kamal Chand, Sub. Baldev Chand, Sub. Narayan Dass, Hav. Uttam Chand, Naseeb Chand, Daya Ram, Karam Chand, Ashok Kumar, Yash Pal, Bua Ditta, Ganesh Charan, Bachan Lal, Chaman Lal, Baljeet Kaith, Subash Chander, Sodagar Lal, Omkar Nath, Swamy Raj Nand, Krishan Lal and Surinder Kumar were also present in the meeting.
